Entrant – Any person/ or persons who enter a competition through the website to win a prize.

Prize – The promoters (Ultimate PC Giveaways Limited) will operate more than one competition at a time, and each competition will have a unique prize offered. Certain competitions may offer ‘runner-up’ prizes.

Winner – The winner (entrant) chosen at random on or after the closing date will receive the prize/ prizes in accordance with these terms and conditions.

Entries – The entrant must answer a qualifying question using their own expertise and knowledge of the computer industry. The question must be correctly answered to gain a successful entry to a competition.

When entering a competition, the entrants agree they have read and accepted the following terms and conditions.



When entering a competition, all entrants must have a verified account on the website, and the entrant must ensure to submit all correct contact details such as valid e-mail address and phone number. The entrants contact details will be used to notify the winner that they have won the prize; to post the winners name on the website; to comply with the privacy policy and to post each entrants name and draw number to our Facebook page (only names will be posted) this is to ensure that entrants know their draw number for the live draw.

If the question is answered correctly the entrant will qualify for entry and will gain an opportunity to win the prize/ prizes for that specific competition. The correct answer must be presented for each question, the specified competition entry fee is due at this stage. Fees are in pounds (£) sterling and can be made either by the entrant or on behalf of the entrant.

Incorrectly answered questions will still be charged, and the entrant will not receive a chance to win the prize/ prizes of the competition.

The maximum number of entrants for each competition will be clearly stated on the specific competition information. When the specific competition reaches its maximum sell out, the date for the live draw will be announced within 48 hours via social media.

Entrant Details

All entrants are solely and completely responsible for providing and maintaining the promoter with accurate contact details on their account.


The promoter owns any prize offered from the time the competition is live until successful handover is completed. The prize will only be that as awarded at the time of the draw, no alternatives to the specific prize will be offered under any circumstances.


The competition is operated only by the promoter. The competition is open for entry to all persons aged 18 or over in the United Kingdom only; excluding the promoters, their families, professional advisers or anyone else involved with the development or operation of the website or conducts administration of the competition in any way.

All entrants accept that their payment for each entry to answer the question and therefore entry into the competition does not guarantee in any way that they will win a prize.

Only the completed entries which contain the correct answer as in correspondence with the promoter’s answer will be entered into a competition.

As a condition on entering the competition, entrants must ensure that, by doing so, they do not contravene any laws in their country of residence. The promoter will not be liable in any way if an entrant enters the competition unlawfully. English law governs this competition and all matters relating to this competition will be resolved under English Law, the Courts of England will have exclusive jurisdiction. By entering any competition entrants warrant that any information provided by them shall be accurate, current and true. The promoter reserves the right to disqualify an entrant if there are reasonable grounds to believe that the entrant has acted outside of these terms and conditions.


On answering the question, the entrant recognises that they must exercise knowledge, judgement, and skill to provide the correct answer when entering a competition.

The maximum number of entries per entrant per competition is listed on each competition product page. The maximum number of entries will be clearly advertised for each competition on the website.

The maximum number of entries for a competition is ‘per household’ and includes both paid and postal entries.

To conclude an entry into the competition, an entrant will be asked to provide their contact details (including postal and e-mail addresses and a telephone number) and card payment details (for entry fee only). Once the entry is submitted, the entrants card payment will be securely and electronically approved.

All entries to the competition are final and no refunds shall be made at any time or for any reason, except in the case of entries submitted after the closing date or if the promoter cancels the competition.

The promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into about the result of the competition following the determination of the winner as described above. Every entrant agrees that the typical requirement under the consumer protection (distance selling) regulations 2000 for goods and services ordered online to be supplied within 30 days will not apply to this prize competition.

If you wish to enter a competition for free via a postal entry, then you must send an unenclosed postcard via First Class post by applying the criteria below:

Postal entries must contain the full title of the competition you would like to take part in, the correct answer to the competition question, along with your personal details as follows; Full Name, Date of Birth, Postal Address, Email address, Mobile contact number.

Postal entrants must have an active account on our website at the time postal entries are processed, and all details on postal entries must match those on the account to which they are to be added.

Postal entries are limited to one entry per person for each competition.  

Postal entries must be received before the close of the competition, any entries that fail to follow the criteria mentioned above will be void as per any Entry received. 

The promotor will not acknowledge receipt of your entry nor confirm if your answer to the competition question is correct. The Promoter will send confirmation once your entry has been received via an email order confirmation. If the number of paid entries reaches any cap or limit before your free entry is processed, you would not be able to be entered into the draw. 

The promotor will collect postal entries on Mondays. The postcard must be completely legible with clear, easy to read handwriting. If we are unable to read the entry it would be void.

Closing the competition

The competition will be ended once the maximum number of entries and/or the closing date is reached. There will be no extensions, and the draw will go ahead with the original prize.

If the promoter is unable to successfully contact a winner via phone, email or social media after 14 days of the competition winner being announced, the promoter reserves the right to select an alternate winner that will be randomly selected from all other successful entrants of that specific competition. This will again be completed live on Facebook using ‘Googles Random Number Generator’. The original prize winner will no longer have claim to the prize once an alternate winner is selected and announced.

Selecting a winner

The winning entrant will be selected live on Facebook using Googles random number generator.

All relevant details of the draw date and time will be confirmed once the competition has been concluded via Facebook and posted on the website. This decision will be made within 48 hours of the close of the competition.

There will only be one winner per competition unless otherwise stated.

After the competition is completed and winner successfully announced, the winner will be contacted to arrange free delivery of the prize.


The prize will come with no warranty from the Promoter. Invoices and/or original proof of purchase for prizes or components will not be provided or passed onto the winner.

Manufacturers of components may support warranty claims in the event of a failure.

The Promoter does not in any way guarantee the value of a prize. The entrant must make up their own decision through their own enquiries and advice before entering a competition.

If a prize does develop a fault, it is the whole responsibility of the winner to exercise correct diagnostic procedures and consult local technology repair specialists to advise on solutions and seek advice to determine whether manufacturer warranty claims are required.

No diagnostics or repairs will be carried out by the Promoter of the competition.

Serial numbers of prizes, including any internal components of all prizes are documented and saved by the Promoter to prevent any unlawful behaviour.

Delivery Policy

Delivery of prizes is completely free of charge and will be shipped using a reliable, tracked and insured courier company.

Collection of the prize is available and is solely the responsibility of the winner from the promoter’s address, unless otherwise agreed between the promoter and the winner. Once a prize is handed over to a winner (collected or delivered), is it the complete sole responsibility of the entrant to ensure safe transit of a prize to its destination. No alternate prize will be offered if loss or damage results after the initial hand over.

The winner will be required to provide proof of identity and proof of entry into the competition at the time that the prize is collected.

Privacy policy

The entrants and the promoter recognise that the promoter may use contact details and other data including personal data as defined by the Data Protection Act 2018 supplied by the entrants to the promoter to administer the website and conduct the competition according to these Terms and Conditions.

The entrants and the promoter also recognise that the promoter may also disclose this information to relevant third parties for the purposes of the prevention of fraud, money laundering, legal or other financial or regulatory reasons.


The winner agrees to allow the promoter to display his or her name on the website in accordance with the privacy policy. The name and town of residence of the winner will be posted on the website for the purposes of announcing the winner of the competition within 48 hours of the winner being determined.

The winner also agrees upon acceptance of the prize that they are required to have a photo or video taken for promotional purposes, both directly after their win and in any future promotional material.

The promoter reserves the right to cancel the competition at any time either before or after tickets have been sold. If the competition is cancelled, the promoter will return any entry fees paid to each entrant (either by bank card refund or by PayPal). Where the entry fee is returned, the promoter shall have no further liability to the entrant or to any other person.

Save for death or personal injury the promoter will not be liable for any loss (including economic loss) suffered to or incurred by any person or property as a result of any act or omission of the promoter, nor will their agents in developing, planning and administrating the competition, distributing the prize to the winner or following the distribution of the prize.

The promoter accepts no liability for errors or omissions contained within the prize details, description or specification or any other part of the website. It is the responsibility of each entrant (and in particular the entrant) to satisfy him/herself as to the accuracy of any such details and/or any content of this website.

The promoter will not be liable for any loss suffered by an entrant as a result of incomplete entries or failed computer communications or for any loss suffered as a result of use of the website. The promoter does not accept any responsibility for entries which they do not receive due to failures in computer systems, other malfunctions, high internet traffic, hardware failure, software failure, server faults or any other reason.

These competition rules shall not create or be construed as creating any form of contract, joint venture or other agreement between any entrant and the promoter.

The promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
